This is not just a Virginia fight. This is quite literally the front line of Gun Control, V 3.0 on a national scale.

They got their national laws in V 1.0. They picked off the easy states in V 2.0.

Now they are doubling down and trying to go after one of the hallmarks of 2nd Amendment rights by trying to take down Virginia.

They have a governor and legislature that is threatening the use of the National Guard on the people of Virginia, all lead by a black-face-wearing, klan joking Bloomberg puppet.

Are you mad enough to do something about it?

VCDL has a fleet of buses going to their lobby day on January 20. You can perhaps take the day off and join them in Richmond and stand shoulder to shoulder with them.

You can also help to support the cause by donating.

They want our guns , because they know they have been doing some dirty dealings over the years . Think about it , Virginia is a huge state to take down 2A wise .

All the right reasons, but one more: non resident carry permits will be under attack.

Bloomberg is against reciprocity. They'll attack that first. All you have to do is look at DC to see what gun laws they think they can get away with right now, while they have a Democratic governor in place.

    Thank you Norton!

VCDL’s Lobby Day, always held on Martin Luther King Day, has always been a great idea, especially since the legislature is in session, but the City of Richmond parking meters aren’t patrolled because that Monday is a national holiday.

Taking the bus there this year is another great idea.

Lobby Day always produces a good local turn-out, but this one may exceed the best one ever by a factor of ten.

On Lobby Day VCDL organizes its own small teams of citizen lobbyists to enter the legislative office buildings to meet with Virginia legislators to discuss proposed or pending legislation.

If you choose, you can join or just accompany a lobbying team, which is always led by an experienced VCDL member; you are not required to lobby the legislators if you don’t wish to.

The VCDL lobbying teams get organized outdoors beginning at 8 AM; you are not required to be a Virginia resident to participate in the lobbying activity.

Friendly legislators often invite the teams to sit down with them in their private office; “other” legislators may meet you standing up in their outer office reception area, or they may dart into the restroom when they see you coming.

The beautiful and historic Virginia Statehouse has undergone an extensive $104 million dollar renovation, completed a dozen years ago, that included a new visitor entrance, screening, reception and Virginia history display areas.

The Virginia State Troopers and other security screening personnel who greet Capitol visitors could not be more polite and accommodating, especially to those carrying in the Capitol and legislative buildings; it is airport-level screening.

If you plan to carry indoors the Lobby Day FAQ’s (linked in post #6, above) have some useful tips to guarantee a smooth firearm screening process, including this: just point to, but don’t touch, your concealed firearm.

Firearm carry inside the Capitol building requires a VA Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) or other recognized out-of-state carry permit, even if you are open-carrying.

If you like history, especially potential historical turning points in American history, then this particular Lobby Day at the State Capitol may become one for the history books.

The Virginia Capitol “houses the oldest elected legislative body in North America, the Virginia General Assembly, first established as the House of Burgesses in 1619.”
