<snip>...Second one is a Colt Police Positive from the Baltimore City Police. Awarded as a prize gun for a pistol match.... I have shot this one just for fun.. Enjoy..

That's a Colt Officers Model Target, third issue, with a heavy barrel. It "was introduced in 1927 and made until 1949. Calibers were .22LR, .32 Colt, and .38 Special, with the .32 Colt only available pre-war. In 1935 a heavy barrel was made available as an option. Post-war only the 6" barrel was offered. Grips were checkered walnut with silver medallions." In the condition it's in, it's worth more than a Police Positive or Police Positive Special, not that you would ever get rid of it.

My holy grail gun would be one marked as property of the Sparrows Point PD. The mill at one time had its own police and fire department

Colt police positive special. 1960. Wish I knew if it was ever issued to a department. It has holster wear and has been carried for sure. Other than that she is pretty much perfect and a hell of a shooter.

I want a matching snubby to mine. Been browsing but not on the hunt for sure yet. Think it will make a nice addition. Would also like an original police positive or an army special.

Here's my latest: A Colt Official Police from 1956, .38 Special, 5-inch barrel. It's marked "CPD 515" for the Canandaigua NY police dept. Grips are numbered to the gun in white pencil.

Most of my police guns are WW2-era German which probably would go over like a wet fart in church in this thread :)

This is also WW2-era, apparently used by Las Vegas PD.
These were semi-auto-only commercial versions of the H&R Reising Model 50 sub-machine gun, sold to civilian police, prison guards etc during the war.
Pretty scarce with only about 3500 made, this is the early version with finned barrel and polish blue finish.

That's pretty cool; I didn't know anything about those. Thanks for sharing!

I used to have a P-08 in .30 Luger that was issued to the Third Reich railway system. You should post examples of your pistols if you have the time.

velly intellesting... along that line (pun intended), this is a post-war FN Browning M1922 issued to the railway police in the US Sector of Berlin, probably in the 1950's.
Fortunately this one escaped the importer's marking; many of these didn't as they were in service into the 1970's.
