If I didn't know how messed up the Maryland anti-gun left is, I would have thought that was a parody skit on SNL. I'd love to find a "military style" weapon leaning against a tree for the taking. But I'd be too worried it was a sting operation and I'd end up in jail like those "Bait Car" people.
I haven't read the whole thread yet, but according to state law, the dealer may release the gun after 7 days. I used to have an FFL that would release it after 7 days since the law said he could. If more dealers would release the firearms when the law says they can, I bet the MSP would work...
That's almost funny, considering the liberals on the 9th circuit out on the left coast are always going against the Constitution as "activist judges"
One guy plays it straights and upholds our rights and he's labelled an activist. I guess all those people that helped shape the Constitution were...
I liked the Baltimore Sun article where it said:
Finally the words "common sense" was used in against the anti-gun crowd. I've heard for years how banning guns is "common sense". This judge understands common sense when it comes to the Bill of Rights.
I hope the appeal is short and MD gets...
I have to agree on the FNP safety. I bought the FNP-357 earlier in the year and it had the manual safety on (My FNP-9 does not). I liked the idea of the safety so that I could leave the hammer cocked. However, I carry mine around the house and leave it on the stand next to me in each room. On...
Still have the waiting period
You can buy more than one regulated firearm in a 30 day period.
And as a bone fide collector, it allows you to transport all or part of your handgun collection for a public or private showing. That's a good point. Really, you could not take a handgun to a...
I have always thought that if the police and attorneys, at least in conservative rural areas, would just follow this type of belief, then MD would be OK. Who cares really what MD thinks the laws mean? If these terrible infringing laws are not enforced, then we would have a much better time. I...
But don't forget, if you buy say 4 handguns and 3 AR-15s at one time, it's still only 1 seven day wait. Then you can take home your arsenal all at once.
I agree, having a gun (especially with a permit) does not mean that you are more likely to go postal at a school or on the streets. They basically lump all the law abiding citizens with the bad guys who don't care if they have a permit or not. They will do as they wish and shoot up a school all...
Good points!
I have to say, I get tired of the idea of training requirements. Very few people have to pull a gun in the first place. Then, once you have a permit, I don't think that most places require additional training each year; perhaps a qualification shoot, but not another uber...
I think the form has a certain amount, but I believe you can attach additional guns to the form. That's how it was explained to me by Conundrum. I can try to confirm it, but I am 99% positive that he transferred more than 4.
Getting them from one dealer would be rough, unless you get them...
I would say that as long as the state constitution gives the same rights or more rights to the people, then it would not be void. If it is a weak right for the people, then the 2nd Amendment would trump it.
Interesting read.
I liked the part from the Heller decision that the Second Amendment only protects weapons “typically possessed by law-abiding citizens for lawful purposes.”
I'm so glad that so many fellow Americans bought AR-15 rifles after the elections. That should be "typically...
You would be more advised instead of buying a gun a day to buy 30 or so guns at one time. You can put quite a few guns on the transfer form for MD thereby avoiding multiple MSP fees. I know of one person that put 13 handguns/regulated firearms on one form and paid just one fee to the MSP. Plus...
I have been keeping an eye out at TheGunSource.com for a little while and the Raging Judge revolvers are still listed as coming soon.
Also, it's not on the MD Roster if you live in MD.
TheGunSource.com lists all of the Raging Judges at $823
