      Ruger Precision Rifle

Perhaps I am being too sensitive but it seems like several times in the past when I have posted something I thought might help someone out I have gotten the same "This posting is worthless without pictures". It seems to me to be rather ungrateful and not very good internet etiquette (if we want...

      Ruger Precision Rifle

To answer pwoolford's comment about wanting pictures, unfortunately some of us have to work and can barely find the time to check this forum let alone have the time to post over 3,300 postings in 3 years like pwoolford.

      Ruger Precision Rifle

I just got a Ruger Precision Rifle in 308 Winchester and added the Burris XTR II scope that was used in the American Rifleman test. I am posting this to warn anyone who adds the same scope that they must use extra high scope rings to clear the barrel. High rings won't work. Don't ask me how...

      Thoughts on Ruger P85 9mm

i have had one for over 20 years. Love it! It has always eaten everything I have fed it. Never a problem. Its one of my go-to guns. When I sent it back for the Mark II fix they gave me an extra magazine for my trouble.

      traffic stop leads to arrest

The times certainly have changed. Back in the 60's I used to travel via plane between Ohio and Wisconsin often and change planes in Chicago flying with my 12 gauge shotgun and 30.06 rifle in unlocked cases next to my seat and ammunition in my carry on bag. Stupid kid didn't know anything...

      Firearms possion on a boat.

My understanding of the law is that if the boat has a head, stove, etc. it is considered a residence when docked or anchored and you can therefore have a gun loaded for protection. However, while underway the gun must be cased and unloaded.

S&W Model 10 Police trade ins at Buds

Bought a police trade Model 10 that appeared to be barely used in 1999 for $160. Wife shot it once and liked it so well it became hers. I just put a CT grip laser sight on it. She still loves it.

      1917 Remington problem.

I recently purchased a 1917 Remington rifle and just found out that he bolt closes easily on my new field gauge. Anyone know of a gunsmith in the Frederick, MD area who is familiar with these rifles and can tighten the barrel? I understand that it is sometimes necessary to do some work on...

Concealed Carry in MD (WarningGraphic language)

Just wear a t shirt that says "Gun Free Person". That will protect you. Bad guys will know not to mess with you.

      Recommend a Good Jewelry Store

Gold Thumb on W. Patrick St. has a good reputation. They do good work also. We've had several rings, etc. resized and some repairs done to other jewelry. High quality work.

      After the gun ban...

Don't forget those dangerous sporks! No one needs a spork. Only the police and military should have sprorks! Everyone should be made aware that we have an extremely high spork assault rate of 1 in 350,000,000! Mr. and Mrs America, turn in your sporks!

Most Americans agree: guns in the home make it safer

There's probably another 10-15% who either wouldn't answer a question like that or would lie and say they don't have any guns. I surely wouldn't tell someone I didn't know if I had guns or not. In fact, I don't even tell people I do know.
