Absolutely love mine, picked it up in a pawn shop 20 years ago for $50 because someone stuck a .22mag in the feed tube and they couldn't figure out what was wrong.
Updated: I went and shot at Big Truck after TAC and it is AWESOME! Very similar to TAC courses. If you can get there do so as often as you can. https://calendly.com/bigtruckarchery
We went to Hopkins 15 years ago and back there this time. It's growing a bit but still looks like its own self instead of overly touristy to the point of being Florida minus drinking age like Mexico and other places are.
Wowie! I've got to get my wife to start diving so that she'll want to go to Bonaire. Being able to rack up that many dives quickly is definitely something i want. She's 100% on board with going to Belize every chance we get because she likes to fish and do other tropical related stuff. It looks...
Definitely will do the quarries for frequent practice but looking for as many opportunities as possible to do something more interesting within driving distance.
The long term effect of the left having bought the law schools decades ago and our own side not even understanding the fight, only challenging on the downstream side and only since 2008.
Just got started into scuba diving a few months ago, working it into my repertoire for this year and beyond and was wondering who around here does it and where. There are a bunch of divers near where I live but none within my immediate reach or connections. Ones I do see occasionally through my...
6.8 SPC. I like Grendel but got this upper cheaper a few years ago and put a ALG handguard and Silencerco mount on it and LaRue trigger in the lower. With the can on she loves it and it made a perfect shot without the slightest difficulty or hesitation.
I gave her S&B 110gr poly tip (according to their website it's made by Hornady so it's a SST) which is absolutely awesome. If I were loading 6.8 I'd do 120gr SST. I load the 165gr SST in .308 and the accuracy and terminal performance is amazing
Palmetto State PA10 in .308 w/ adjustable gas block, Silencerco Specwar 762, and Geissele trigger. SWFA 3-15 milquad scope. 165gr Hornady SST loads I do myself with 8208XBR. 4 deer with it with none taking a step.
Went to Belize for bonefish with the wife. Did pretty well and did some scuba and spearfishing as a bonus. Definitely will get back there as soon and often as possible.
Went to Alabama over Thanksgiving week and my wife and I did 4 days of deer. She got a really big doe with a 6.8 AR I built her and I got a nice 8 point with my AR10.
Started getting my 6yr old son involved with me sorting 5.56 brass by headstamp for different loads, explaining to him the different types for different purposes
Keeping pace with modern armies of whatever day was the intention. in fact they didn't even want a standing army at all but capable citizens and privateers. They were used to citizens being like Thomas Sumpter, Francis Marion, and Rogers Rangers-- equivalent today would be SEALs, Rangers, and...
Has anyone been to Big Truck Farms and tried their archery setup there? (Or just been there at all?) If so what's it like? I'm looking to get into the swing of things this year, basically a beginner having done a small amount a few years ago, and it looks like a cool place to visit for the day...
