      Free wood chips in Frederick?

I'm doing the Back To Eden gardening method. I just called all the tree trimmers in the phone book and asked if they had a list I could be put on for wood chips. It's hit and miss, most of them will only deliver if they are in your area. I got about 20 yards last year and another 15 this year.

That's what I thought too, but if they're going to give me both, I'll take it.

MSP Wait Times - 60+ Days

Paperwork was faxed 4/20. I bought a Smith and Wesson M&P .22 pistol 30 days later. Since I purchased them 30 days apart and they have both been there so long, I get to take both home tomorrow. With the ND, they will now release on time if I use them for any other transfers. I'm planning on...

MSP Wait Times - 60+ Days

Just got a call from Horst & McCann. Going to pick up my Spikes' s Tactical AR tomorrow night after work. I was just down there shooting yesterday.

How many purchases do you have "in the logjam"?

I have two. A Spike's Tactical AR and a Smith and Wesson M&P .22 pistol purchased a month apart. After the first ND, the FFL will do 8 day releases, so might be picking up another AR lower before 10/1.

      Sharpening Your Knives

There is something relaxing about sharpening a knife on a stone. You can hear and feel when you have the angle right. I was never able to explain it to my dad when he asked how I got a knife so sharp, I just knew it was right. I also have scars in just about every finger and both thumbs from...

That's what I was thinking as well, but wanted to make sure. Pretty sure everything goes to 2nd review now anyway, so I would like to get the dates for that as well.

MSP Wait Times - 60+ Days

My wife just got the call from Horst & McCann for her XD9. Faxed 4/6/13 - so she probably got stuck in 2nd review. 1st purchase. No record. Common last name. Still waiting on my Spike's Tactical paperwork faxed on 4/20/13 and need to find out when they faxed the paperwork on my M&P 22 pistol.

      How young is too young?

My son is definitely left eye dominate, like me. I can shoot a rifle left or right handed, but prefer using my left. Handguns I shoot right handed, but pull slightly to the left so I can sight with my left eye. For now he is shooting right handed, so I will probably have to get him switched over...

      How young is too young?

He was hitting the spinner on Saturday. Just trying to keep it fun for now. When he gets older, I'll teach iron sights when he needs something more difficult. I'm thinking my daughter might be ready to start in the next year or two. She's 3 right now and likes sitting on the porch to watch us...

      How young is too young?

I've let my 4 year old shoot a few times already. I tried starting him on my old pellet gun, but he didn't seem that interested. Then I set him up on my bolt action .22 rifle with some CCI shorts. He is already referring to my Marlin 981T as his rifle... I do have to help open and close the bolt...

      7/5 - Dicks in Wheaton - 22lr at $.25/r - why so expensive?

Supply and demand? It probably depends on the type of ammo it is too. Mini-Mag Vs. Quiet Vs. SGB, etc. I couldn't tell you the last time I saw CCI .22LR on a shelf anywhere.
