So I've bought lots of lowers in the past; Aero, Spikes, Mega, etc. I'm about to order a couple more, but less well-known (either JL Billet or a re-branded/stamped New Frontier Armory). Shouldn't be any issues though, right? Just don't want any screwups from "not on the list" etc.
Alrighty,
Now I know that forged is "just as good", but I'm building up a one-off special build, so I thought I'd spring for a little extra fancy-pants lower that I'll most likely form 1. That being said I don't want to pay "Radian" money for a lower. Do any of you have any experience with any...
Alright,
So I know about the 29" OAL thing. I'd like to SBR an M4E1 lower for a dedicated straight-pull .300 build. No gas system at all. However, it's an AR lower. How would you describe it when filling out the form 1, so they just don't assume it's an AR that won't meet the 29"?
So, long story short; kid accidentally ran car into the garage. I already placed the insurance claim. They said once the ball gets rolling I need to find a contractor on my own. Unlike auto claims where they have a "network" of body shops/mechanics etc, they don't do that for home insurance...

If it's like their other 1911's it won't be filled with MIM parts. Also comes in "carry" version....

Me likey!
Alright,
So one of my coworkers came up to me today expressing that she needs to get a gun. 60+, single mom, kids out of the house. Knows NOTHING about guns, SUPER Lib, and very worried about the "things are going". So, I tried to explain some basics to her, HQL process etc. I recommended...
So I'm looking for a deck guy. I'm not sure if I can get by with repairs, but I most likely need a whole new she-bang. So, does anyone have a reputable guy for decks? YEARS ago, the guy who painted our house (did an amazing job) turned to actually be a deck guy, but he's out of business.
So, my daughter got her learner's permit a couple of months ago. Any decent (affordable) driving school recommendations? This is all new to me. As a PA native (and old) we just had classroom driver's ed in HS and then a couple behind-the-wheel lessons. Essentially, as long as you could pass...
Anyone order a suppressor from them? Their prices are good, and at least according to their website will ship "to your door" when the application is approved.
Alright,
So I'm getting ready to start this process. Now, if I buy my suppressor from them and have it shipped to one of their "Silver" dealers, do I still pay the $100 transfer fee? Or does that get waived because it's being purchased in their "network"? I'm seeing some better sale prices...
Okilie-dokilie...
So I think I'm going to finally pull the trigger on my first suppressor (a .22 naturally). Anyway, I have a couple of MkIIs that I honestly think I'd be better off selling to a "collector" instead of paying to have them cut/threaded. Also, it's an opportunity to buy another...
Alright,
So after dipping my toe in the NFA "water" with two SBRs I've decided that I need to get a rimfire can. I want this one to be able to do "double duty" on pistols and rifles as equally well as possible. I don't want to spend a fortune so "boutique" with fancy finishes need not apply...
So, it's been YEARS since I've got to shoot. Only place around me is an indoor range (Fred's) that goes to 50 ft. So, I packed up my two SBRs (new to me...first ones...Woooo!) that haven't been shot, and off I went.
The main goal was to make sure they were functioning as they should and try...
So it looks like my RAV4 needs new rear brakes. Any good recommendations for an independent mechanic in the S.PD/‘Dorf areas? Or are “chain” garages the way to go for prices?
