      Your favorite solvent and lubricant

      Hoppe's #9 was the first one I used and still use today for cleaning. For lube nothing beats CLP.

      I've learned that the range's rules can supercede the law, as long as they're not breaking it. On Target may be different, but some ranges can be ridiculous.

      I was once sent off a range for having a loaded mag. Never went back. But it was a great range. The RO was a freaking teenager, too - it really pissed me off.

      I would call them first to make sure. But a good rule of thumb is always have your Drivers License, ear and eye protection. I also always bring masking tape with me to fix the targets to stands, just in case they're out or the tables are busy.

      Kriss Super V .45 Rifles Back In Stock

      I have a SBR version. Haven't fired it in a while. But I was just on a plane watching the reboot of Total Recall and was cracking up to see that they used the KRISS SBR as the weapon of choice in the future. Select fire, of course, but still - pretty cool.

      I hate that it gets to points like this, but last time in 2008 or 2009 I used to go to the gun shows an hour before they opened, line up waiting to get in, and make a bee line to the ammo tables. If the show opened at 9, they'd be cleaned out by 9:30am.

      Markham Park in Florida is not bad... the grounds are awesome. Some of the ranger officers, not so much. But compared to some of the other places I used to shoot in South Florida, it at least feels safe. Some ranges in the Miami/FTL area are entirely too sketchy.
