Cowboy Action Shooting
A Cowboy Action Shooting section would be nice. It has evolved into my favorite shooting discipline over the last seven years. As far as the SASS Wire goes, well, it seems a bit angry much of the time.
WildWiz
Well I have shot there, but indoor shooting is not my cup of tea. I have bought two revolvers there. The sales lady spent hours with my daughter fitting her into a nice handgun (gp100) let her shoot one of the gp100 rentals at the range before I bought it for her, with store ammo, no...
Does anyone know of a reputable trap instructor in Balto. Co. . I'm frustrated. One week I'll shoot 25/25 the next 12/25. No consistancy & I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong
I had the same/similar problem with my new Remingtom 700 .223. I lived with the problem for some time. Finally I called Remington Customer Service & they advised me to send it in. they even paid shipping both ways. When it was returned it was great, smooth as silk. Problem solved.
lanolin & alcohol
I have been using the lanolin & alcohol recipie for almost 6 years with no problems . I reload a few hundred rounds just about every week. Research the mix on line (Google) & check it out & the price is right
Does anyone know when the Spring/Summer Bullseye league begins at Baltimore County Game & Fish Protective Assn. Sometimes referred to as The Northwind Gun Club. I shot it last year, but there doesn't seem to be any mention of it for this spring season. I have contacted them throught thier...
Midway & Brownells sold the stuff for bore cleaning, so I tried it. I thought it worked just fine, many others thought so too. But now I use Ed'd Red, I mixed up a gallon of it last year & I'm still using it. I clean my guns after every use & I shoot every week it's cheap & works good.
63...Retired from Fire dept for 11 yrs & retiring this year from tv production (sales, camera operator, editor) Now I just hunt, shoot cowboy action shooting, uspsa, trap, wild bunch, idpa, plink, reload, & when all guns are put away I drink
I agree with several others who feel the S & W M41 is as fine a gun (for its purpose) as one could want. Maybe we should leave the multi thousand dollar Italian bullseye guns out of the equasion. But for real world accuracy at real world prices...Drum roll please... Rugar MK I, II, & III
Yesterday I went to the range with my Mossberg 500 rifled barrel pump shotgun & 2 packs of slugs. one was the pricey Winchester Super X at $13.00+ tx & the other was the old fashion Winchester Super X rifled slugs at $4.00... They both were loaded with a 1 oz slug, the sabot was rated at 1350...
I am contemplating accurizing my Taurus 1911 for bullseye competition. Does anyone know of a good gunsmith who has a reputation for this type of project? Has anyone had a Taurus 1911 accurized, How much did it cost? Was the effort & expense worth it?
It seems the general consensus is : If you like to rebuild & tinker go with the 10-22 but if you want an out of the box good shooting rifle go Marlyn. My Marlyn out shoots my friends 10-22 & it was cheaper
trail boss
Some of my friends who shoot "Cowboy Action Shooting" use Trail Boss for just that reason. It adds to the safty factor of not double loading powder into the case. If you were to overload it, it would be very noticeable or maybe even overspill. Everyone that i know of, who has...
