Over the years I've picked up some pieces from a successful military high power rifle shooter and I'm trying to document some of the stuff and put together a short bio of the guy to include with the items when the time comes to pass them along. I have the stuff from Camp Perry and now I'm...
I'm looking for recommendations (and approximate cost) to rebarrel and install a USGI bolt in a Polytech M14S. I'm pretty sure I have everything to make this thing a shooter but I need a smith who's familiar with this conversion.
Baltimore / Washington area
Thanks
Dave
I picked up a couple more pieces for my accumulation yesterday, a P14, a Yugo M48, another 03A3 (Remington, now I have one of each) , a No4 Mk2. These all look pretty correct.
A pretty cool long range rifle built on a sleeved Remington 700 long action that's set up as a switch barrel, it...
Since they're pre '64, I figured I'd ask here...
I fell into a pile of (mostly) pre 64 Model 70's, two of which are in .30-06 with factory heavy barrels that are in very nice shape both inside and out.
The reason behind this request is that I also have a 10x Unertl that's been looking...
There's probably a thread like this somewhere but as usual, I'm too lazy to look for it...
I have several originals and I'll start with a couple USGI versions.
M1D and 1903A4, unfortunately the A4 has a Weaver 330S rather than a 330C
I also picked up a (pre) WWII German .22 trainer recently. A no suffix Walther Sportmodell that was police issue according to the stock cartouche. With sling, stacking rod and a period correct Hensoldt Wetzlar scope.
Thought that this might be interesting to others also, I like the stuff that goes along with the firearms.
In addition to those boxes of junque, my buddy also gave me his GI ordnance tools. And before anyone asks, no, these won't show up in the classifieds...
Fairly sure the Garand throat...
More stuff from the junque boxes, these are some of the cool pieces
First up is a complete NM1911A1 top end
NOS USGI NM M14 gas pistons
Redfield International's and Palmas
USGI M14 flash hiders, looks like they've been reamed
Misc. Garand, Carbine, 1911 and M14 parts
The stripped Winchester...
... and we (they) got a letter about it.
I corrected the error, spelling of my last name, and the paperwork was sent back. Anybody have any ideas as to how is this going to affect my "wait time"? Or at what point of the process would this have been discovered?
Silencerco Osprey can for...
As the title states, tried searching but I'm also being lazy.
Is it legal to transfer a Polytech M-14S in the state of Maryland? I know that the various flavors of M1A's are not transferable, this is specifically the Polytech
I'm getting rid of duplicates and other stuff that doesn't speak to...
I picked up an M14 trigger group with the Camp Perry tape on the guard. It's yellow with black printing and I can tell it's from 199?. I've Googled some and have not found anything to help me identify the year. If it's any help, there is red tape under the yellow.
Thanks,
Dave
Up front disclamers:
I have some and trying to price it fairly for both the buyer and seller(me) AND trying to get to 50 posts to post some classifieds which is 1 more after this...
The good, I have a few cases of Eley Tenex
The bad, they are from the 92-93 time frame.
My thinking that...
I'm shopping (which is between tire kicking and buying) right now and have been looking at factory Colt full auto AR-15s, converted ARs and Thompsons. I'm seeing examples of all three in the range of what I'm willing to spend.
I really would like a Thompson and my first (of many I'm sure)...
I'm thinking about an AR retro build and I'm looking for an M16A1 profile "pencil" barrel, anyone have one to sell or know where I can get one?
Green mountain makes them http://www.gmriflebarrel.com/m16-a1-5-56mm-20-1-12-twist-20-barrel/ but if it isn't an original, I would like a faster...
... letting me post some pictures of his accumulation.
For starters, from the top, Remington Rand, Colt, US&S and Ithaca, all as issued. With known histories of the Colt (USMC), US&S (USA) and Ithaca (USA).
More to come.
