So glad to be back at the bench. Sized and primed 200 9mm and did 50 to final crimp. Snow day tomorrow so will finish them then. Picked up 6.5X55 and 30-30 dies at Reddings Auction last weekend. Might dabble with those for my Swed and Marlin.
I got two from Classic. The notch was good but I had to size the dimensions a bit. Had to take down the back side down 1/1000 on metal belt sander from top to bottom. and lightly on the rounded front. then cleaned up with brass wheel polish. Finished with steel wool. Rubbed with Rem oil and now...
Finished 200 Rounds .45acp then decapped 200 of 9mm and loaded 50 before bedtime for this old man. Glad to be back at my bench. Really enjoy reloading.
Gettysburg
Picked up some Nagant Ammo, nice leather pistol case and some AK Mags. Only thing I wanted but went to high were the M57 Mags went for more than retail.
I agree crowd was light and some of the front row regulars not there with deep pockets
I also use the existing 3/4" holes in the bench top with bolts and dowels to make other mouting points such as my press and ar mag well stand. that way I can take them off if I need full bench for work
I got mine from Sportsman guide of all places when they had a speical on them. Great light and have nice cord on them to plugin. Pull chain that comes with them is long so i cut it back a bit. also very light in weight...
HRT Woodworker bench modified a bit and on locking casters.
Used plastic peg board panels. Mounted bolt on/off press mount and AR Magwell support. Also added 4ft LED hanging lights to help the old eyes.
New Reloading bench
Moved to new place so had chance to set up Firearm room from scratch. Used a HFT Woodworker bench with some modifications and a back pegboard. Put everything in the room on locking casters for easy clean up. Even the shelving units and gun cabinets.
I went for some mags. One guy with deep pockets was cleaning up. I did get 10 AR in one set and 4 from another. Best deal was 4 5900 mags for my Keltec Sub2k. Also got a nice Earp collector shadow box and a ammo box.
Lot of old money guys with deep deep pockets. I refer to them as gun horders...
it was smaller with many vendors missing but i got most items on my list for what I expected to pay. 1 TT-33 mag, sm rifle primers, sling (paracord) rail mount light and a 333 pack of 22lr. overall worth the trip up. Saw some friends there and my buddy John at Alpha Bravo bullets.
