      Shooting Ranges in Queen Annes?

Schrader’s is the closest place with a public range. It’s only 100 yards, outside, and $10/hr per person. Reservations are recommended since it’s limited to one person/group at a time. Bring a target stand, sometimes they have plywood up for targets, but usually don’t from my experience.

      Henry Single Shot availability

What's the price on that? I'm not looking for that model specifically now, but I do want one in the future.

      Spring Turkey Questions

Well, I found a good video from New Hampshire Fish & Game on processing a wild turkey where they use the skinning method. It looks much easier to me and avoids the mess of gutting so I'll definitely be going that route. Bourbon Reds are one of the top contenders on my turkey breed list...

      Spring Turkey Questions

That's good to know, I've mostly owned shotguns for home defense so it's been slugs and 00 buckshot that I've shot the most and as long as I'm able to hit a man sized target that's been all that's mattered. Most of the shots I've been worried about have been measured in feet because of that...

      Spring Turkey Questions

I knew I should have refreshed before posting to see if there were more comments. Another question, does anyone here turkey hunt with a single shot shotgun? I'm considering one of the Henry 12ga models and they have a new turkey model that looks interesting...

      Spring Turkey Questions

Thanks for the information everyone. I'll pattern the Remington shells I ordered when they arrive to see how they do, but those TSS results are impressive so I'll be keeping an eye out for a good deal on them. Do you use 3" or 3-1/2" shells? I assume either one is going to not be super...

      Boyds not shipping to MD

Check Midway and Brownells, both carry them but may not have the exact color you want.

      Spring Turkey Questions

So I've decided that this Spring I want to go turkey hunting, I have never been before, so I have a few questions I hope the knowledgable people here can help answer. I'm planning on trying Tuckahoe State Park since I don't have the land for it nor do I want to pay the $360 I was quoted for a...

      What .357 Would You Choose?

Seconding this. Go for the extra round the plus offers over the regular 686.

      STOP BUYING !!

No, I go through the slugs way faster. I’ve yet to shoot a whole box of 22LR.

How many rounds thru until barrel replacement?

This, if it's something they no longer make then I'd pick up at least one to have. I need to pick up some 357 Sig and 40S&W barrels since they've stopped making guns in them. I will probably never actually need to replace them, but I'd rather have them on hand in case I do.

      (Belated) Christmas Review

My brother wanted a Magpul Hunter American stock for his Ruger American Predator for Christmas. JoeBob had the color he wanted in-stock, for the best price, and got it here before Christmas. I ordered it on a Wednesday morning and it showed up that Saturday morning, every where else I looked...

lack of awareness in MD's gun/hunting community

When everyone was saying to build the wall, they didn’t mean of text. Use paragraphs.

      Primer Notifications

Yeah that's what I was after. I don't really need them now as I have no brass or powder for 357 mag, but I "needed" them in the sense that I have none. Alliant does have load data with regular small pistol primers which I have, so I'm keeping an eye out for one of their powders

      Primer Notifications

Yeah, not a good price. I don't know if they're going to be doing anything other than APS strips and it's still priced lower than some places I've seen. I need SPMP, but not that bad.

      Primer Notifications

As a heads up Powder Valley is dropping primers on APS strips now, first it was SRP, then LPP. Both out of stock now, but they seem to be releasing one type of primer at a time.

Remington Arms to reopen March 1st

Ok, that's weird, but good to know. Thanks! They don't show up on the main 870 page and there's no "Page 2" or other indicator that there are more models so I assumed they only had the models shown on that page. Never would have sorted by tactical because all of the models appeared to be shown.

Remington Arms to reopen March 1st

I'm glad to see a lot of items on the RemArms website, but I do notice a lack of tactical and magazine fed 870's. I was hoping to pick up a few more of the 7 round 870's and at least one mag fed one for hunting (plus more mags for the existing one and the new one). I also notice they don't have...

What did you do at your reloading bench today?

Learned that I don't like Benchmark, it probably works fine, but it has an obvious smell and doesn't meter through my powder measure very well. Worked great in the vibratory trickler though. Loaded up 10 brand new Starline 6.5 Grendel cases with it, Federal Small Rifle Match primers, and 100gr...
