Anybody recommend a transmission shop in the Baltimore metro area?

I'm in NW Harford Co but not opposed to traveling the Baltimore metro area for a decent shop. Supposedly, the dealer is just going to put the same crappy parts back in the trans with a rebuild and I"ll be revisiting the same issue at some point. So a trans shop that knows their stuff. Ram...

      Badgersmith Gunworks

I used David Stancill years ago to fix a locked-back slide on a 1911 and upgrade it's sights. Drop the gun off, pick out the sights from Brownell's, PAY HIM $150 IN ADVANCE FOR THE NEW SIGHTS since he's going to order them through his account. Month later I go to pick up my gun. Slide is fixed...

      MD CCW Phone Interview

So I just had my phone interview today. 1st investigator called all my references and told two of them that "He'll definitely be approved for his W&C." I find it rather irking that an MSP officer would broadcast that around, but then again those three people are "life references" for me. The...

No good deed goes unpunished in MD?

Sorry for your pain OP. I despise this state's left wing politics and laws.

Anybody know laws of selling a lower to a CA resident?

I asked him for the phone number of the local FFL he wanted me to ship to so that I could verify the legality of the transaction and haven't heard back. I doubt that I will.

Anybody know laws of selling a lower to a CA resident?

I'm selling an AR10 stripped lower receiver on ar15.com and a CA resident wants to buy it. Anybody know the laws applicable here or point me towards a website? A google search didn't give me anything definitive.

      H&K VP9

P30 is a great gun, I own a 9mm and a .40. Now I'm nterested in the VP9, but don't think it's frugal to buy another HK so similar.

      Vepr 12

What happens if you bought a Vepr 12 with the folding stock and broke the weld BEFORE the MD law went into effect?

Where do you shoot your rifles?

Friend of mine just got in here. It's usually a lottery system from what I remember him telling me. Interestingly enough, he got in via nepotism (a "special case" as he put it). He said that other people had been waiting several years to get in. I gave up on him trying to get me in after...

MD State Game and Fish members?

Yup, Baltimore Game & Fish, my mistake.

MD State Game and Fish members?

I heard that there was some kind of a lottery system for joining MD G&F beyond the sponsor part. Is this the case? Buddy of mine got in right away through good ol' nepotism, but told me that it was a "special case" and everybody else had to go through the lottery, some people had been waiting...

      GS for pin/weld a FH?

Been there for a pin/weld on a Saiga 12 years ago, thought I would try someone new. Dropped off my barrel and BCE 1.5 at Gun Connection. I also brought parts for my father's new AR that Harry did a very impressive job of putting together. I always come out of GC happy.

      Horst & Mccan?

I've been to H&M a good amount. Decent people, decent place. Never bought anything from them, but transferred quite a few firearms. Freestate certainly does show it up in aesthetics and assortment of stuff to buy. But I've also found Freestate's range time to be much more significant than...

      Delta Peach Bottom

Do they have a yearly "community service" requirement? My father and I are casually looking for a new place to shoot, but at 78 he isn't one to be doing any of the community service stuff, i.e. clearing brush, kitchen detail, maintaining backstops, etc. With his bad back, he's lucky he can...
