Thank you for all the suggestions. I've been working on something I need to submit today (11/1/23) prior to normal EDT business hours. I hope to look into everyone's ideas and reply this evening or by the end of the week should I get any questions on what I'm submitting.
Thanks again.
Maybe but no guarantee. Many locals stick their pistol in their pants with no holster. I saw a woman carry hers with no holster in her purse filled with stuff.
IMO, that's not safe although with a revolver or manual safety I'd risk it. No way with a striker.
Thanks. Very nice. No trigger guard, though. I wonder about retention while moving. But it's easy enough to make some and try with a variety of pistols.
I was thinking about suede holsters. Thoughts?
I'll be traveling overseas and will be provided a sidearm upon arrival. I will not know what it is until I get there. E.g., it could be anything from a 5" 1911, a 4" or 6" 38 spcl or .357 Magnum, a G19, or a stubby S&W J-frame style, etc. I need to be prepared with an IWB and an OWB holster...
I haven't been a member there for a few years, either. When I was, I almost never saw anyone -- including an RSO -- on the 200 on weekdays.
I almost always shot with a friend there in case of any type of accident. Also a random person on the road is closer to your gear than you are when you're...
After thinking about FOPA, I think it's best to keep firearms and ammo in the bed. It has a hard tonneau cover. I think it would be best to keep it closed and locked. So a trailer is the best bet.
I'd like to get one for two motorcycles. Any suggestions?
Pay: Well, if you're just driving...
I've heard that has happened. But if we're obeying the speed limit, have papers in order, all equipment working, don't have anything visible, then it's hard for me to see it getting to that point. Do you think I'm missing something?
That's good to know. Do you happen to have a reference to a layman's version of FOPA? I should read up on this.
Do you think I should be concerned about magazine capacity and ammo type as long as they're legal in NH?
Sure. Are you serious? Are you going to stay in New England?
Five foot bed, but we can rent a trailer if it doesn't fit. Actually I've been thinking of buying one.
Just curious why you think there would be a hassle hiring a driver. I have no idea what's involved in shipping nor the timeframe nor the logistics of dropping it off or picking it up. And shipping it with firearms doesn't seem like a good idea.
I'm in Burtonsville, MD and want to take my pickup with me in it to Manchester, NH. But I don't want to drive the approximately eight hours by myself. I have neck and shoulder pain and don't want to make it worse.
Anyone interested in driving over the next week or so? I'll cover your fee...
Sorry. I'm still not clear. Once you make that first call, then you're tracked. And the call recipient is tracked. Is that OK in your scenario? If not, you need multiple devices, multiple SIM cards and multiple plan PINs for each call.
