I will never understand goofy MD laws. “Heavy barrel” is subjective. A Colt pencil barrel is a heavy barrel compared to a BCM ultra lightweight barrel. Is there a barrel diameter requirement somewhere or is this all just conjecture?
This is the mentality that makes it quite obvious why MD is in its current predicament. Even statist MSP has outright said while they prefer FFL’s hold onto firearms and not conduct transfers, FFL’s legally can proceed. We are our own worst enemy sometimes.
