I will second GoldGunsGirls recommendations for polishing. I had a few FTFs with my new 75B. After polishing the feed ramp, I've put several thousand round through it without a single problem.

I think the major problem for her is the grip on the CZ is too large for her hands. The 1911-380 has a smaller grip that fits her well. It also has a longer barrel which she likes. There are almost no 380's on the market with longer barrels, most are pocket guns.
My wife and I got our HQL about 18 months ago. So far we have purchased a CZ75, S&W617 and a buckmark. We've been shooting at Freestate. The wife is having trouble shooting with the 9mm CZ, I'm looking to get her a 380 sometime soon.
