I just saw an article on Fox45 News' website about this bill. No way it's constitutional, but that hasn't stopped the MGA before. I really hope this crock of bull gets defeated.
Exactly. I keep both types on hand. I have some freeze dried Mountain House stuff, but mostly just for the variety. It's far too expensive and bulky to rely on for your whole prep.
Most of what I keep are regular staples that we rotate and use (FIFO) in our everyday meals: rice, beans, flour...
Interesting topic. Thanks for pulling this together. I wonder how much personal info it's really possible to scrub these days, since it seems like it's everywhere (especially from all the data breaches companies seem to be having), but every little bit helps.
Any updates on this? Couldn't find any news reports with a quick web search.
I've shopped at that store (Anglers) a few times. They were friendly and helpful handling a transfer for me once. Good selection of fishing gear too, from what I could tell. They also have a grandfathered liquor...
I've been working from home lately, so I've been around all day to hear any solicitors. About once a month someone rings the doorbell.
It's almost always someone rapping Verizon, but now and then it'll be someone pushing something else. If I don't open the door, they tend to leave after 10...
Welcome, from a fellow new American! I naturalized last year too. Luckily I hadn't waited until then to enter this hobby - you can buy guns as a legal permanent resident. But even during this shortage, you can still find some stuff in stock if you look around.
I've ordered from this site several times too, and never had any issue. Not sure why the reviews are so mixed, but my personal experience has been good. Good prices, good ammo, and usually arrives within 4-5 days.
Yeah, seriously. So much "hell no!" in that bill text. This thing would ban just about everything but bolt-action rifles, pump-action shotguns and revolvers. Basically setting us back to 1899, folks.
This bill CANNOT pass. Not as-is, not with amendments, not in any way, shape or form. Warm up...
Reading this article made my eyes bleed. WOW it was bad. I expected some poor usage of firearms terminology (and there was), but you're right - even basic English sentences are lacking here.
There's also incoherent stuff like "brownells promo code" shoehorned in that made no sense as part of...
Even if you're just looking at a simple majority, I don't see something like this getting passed. No GOP Senator will vote for it, and Joe Manchin won't vote for it. That drops the Dems to 49 votes, and the bill fails.
.303 ammo has really dried up during the pandemic. I haven't seen so much as a single round in any store or online retailer either in ages. The only place you can find any now is the resale market, such as GunBroker. Quality and selection there varies, with prices anywhere from $1-2 a round for...
At going prices these days, paying $200 for that 9mm, Tok and .223 actually does represent a 20-25% discount, as sad as that is. Typical prices I've seen lately for 9mm FMJ is about 70cpr, brass FMJ .223 about 85cpr (give or take 5 cents) and I haven't seen 7.62 Tokarev less than $1.40 a round...
