      Home defense... how do you keep your gun?

      I have a Glock 19 and keep it in a safe with a full magazine, but no round in the chamber. It is in a safe that I can get in in about 5 seconds. How do you all keep your home defense gun? I understand that, if the worst happens, I'll be using precious time racking the slide to chamber a round...

      Thanks for putting together a great resource and community! I just applied for my HQL on Saturday and put down a deposit on a Vickers G19. I've shot G19s and ARs in the past, and am finally getting on board. Any advice for a new gun owner would be appreciated -- what do I need, etc.? So...
