I have no idea how companies like Clear Channel haven't been brought up on anti-trust violations yet. This is one of those situations where the federal government should absolutely interfere with the free market. Lack of competition does nothing but hurt the consumer.

Unfortunately, the media exists to sell things. Scaring people seems to sell things, so that's what they run. Guns are scary, ergo bad, so they get demonized to sell papers. It doesn't help that until recently, the gun lobby has been a little overzealous to the point of alienating moderates...
