      dirty 9mm ammo

      I picked up 500 rd cheap 9mm (~$9/50), non corrossive, brass, surplus. I have not shot it because it is dirty,i.e., the ammo has shmutz all over it, gooey like. Not sure what it is. Is there a way to clean it, wipe it with an ethanol patch etc. Any advice besides offers to take it off my hands.
