The view even here is changing dramatically. I cant speak specifics, but there are jewish day schools that are seriously discussing certain faculty receiving training and carrying on campus. This has been ongoing for about a while and now they are getting even more serious.
I went to Tyler Firearms in Halethorp on Friday to handle a transfer. It’s a fairly new place, I think opened in April (industry partner here) that seems to have figured out customer service. I thought, Ok, some, paperwork, fee and I would be on my way. I spent over an hour there chatting and...
Try Maryland rifle club.
I wish I could attend some of their meetings or events, which are usually on Saturday. I'm also Shomer ******* shabbos, I dont roll on Shabbos- in MY best Walter Sobchak voice
I picked up 200 rd for 25.97 a couple of weeks ago at cockeysville Walmart. Keep going back every few days, None in stock. Either you guys keep grabbing them or they are getting much more in
I have only put decent brass through my rifle.
I used different magazines same problem, BCG did not strip off the next round. Seemed like it did not cycle all the way back.
It ejects the fired round and is back in firing position, trigger is set, but no round is fed.
The best thing at...
I have a few hundred rounds out of my AR15. Today at the range, it began failing to feed the next round. At one point the bolt carrier assembly was stuck. The front gas block was hot, but the gas tube on the bolt carrier assembly where the gas goes into was not. Could there be a block in...
Thank goodness I am not the only moron. But at least I was 12 yo. The sucker kept rolling around in hand so the ER surgeon couldnt get a hold of it.
Krashmania, did not expect the air to feel like that huh?
This was my lesson in "treat every gun as if it is loaded...even a bb gun". I was...
The Savage Mark I or II FVT (which you can get at a great deal from CMP, http://www.thecmp.org/22targetcommercial.htm) is a good way to go. I was taught on something similar when I was 12. Ghosts sights are a good way to teach fundamentals.
Welcome!
+1 on taking NRA first steps, check the industry partners for NRA instructors.
Also +1 on the PG trap. Go early when not busy and tell them you need a little help getting started. They are friendly helpful and dont make you feel like a complete idiot. It is also beautiful and they...
PG is great. They also have really nice Beretta O/U to rent. Have not been for a few months, but last time I was there it was $8 for the day for rental. First few times I went, a bunch of different people helped and were real patient. Hard to believe it is run by the state.
I have the FVT MarkII. I agree, hardly a POS. Mine has ghost sights, and is a lot of fun and really accurate. The single shot version is actually available at an amazing price from CMP (http://www.odcmp.com/Programs/JrRifles.htm#Smallbore).
I took a friend with a kel tec to AGC. Range officer thought we were shooting a shotgun or something. Loud as hell but no problem shooting it there. Amazing muzzle blast.
Ok, no rude comments on the title (unless really funny). The mags for my XDM 9mm are really tight and it is hard to get any more in past 10. Have never gotten all 19 rounds in. While while watching tv i work it with a wooden dowel, but that has not seemed to help. Besides more regular...
