I just picked one up in 7.62x39. It was a beast to get the dust cover back on after field stripping. I'm not sure about this one. This weapon is pretty much out of action in the absence of that receiver cover, and too much is riding on the tab that marries the rec. cover and gas tube together...
I would like to see them go after alcohol,cigarettes and cannabis with the same conviction that they have gone after guns. More persons die from causes related to any one of these three each year in Maryland than from firearms.
My understanding is that the Bren 806 is to be released to the civilian market during the Spring of 2018. I will be waiting for one as well.
A Wolf A1 upper on a lower of your choice, (for half of the price) would hold you over nicely in the meantime. Then there are always Arsenal AK-74's...
This is just if it was me, but I would leave it alone unless I was to mount a bull barrel, free float it and restock the weapon with something that would better accommodate these alterations better than the factory stock.

It is clear that buying and collecting firearms has really taken a turn for the worse in recent years. State regulation, the market in general and the way that some shops have reacted has really amped up the suck factor in selecting, buying and enjoying firearms.
Three shots sound nice. Being able to repeat the feat with five shots with monotony would be better I suppose, but one properly placed shot will do the job.
