Ahhh, didn’t know it was that much of a pain. Thanks for the info!
Yeah, I use to belong to Mifflin, but the drive got old. I think Ridgway is even farther. All good! At least I can cross it off my list.
Thanks again.
Looking for info on this range. I’ve seen info that rifles ranges go out to 800 yards. Is this bring your own steel or is it provided? Benchrest only or is there room to shoot prone?
Any idea on when memberships open?
Would also like to know this ^^^
I'm a member of Meade R&P but haven't been in a while. Last time I went it was a cluster F and I Spent more time in the pits pointing out holes on targets for the other shooters then I did shooting. The RO's (if you ask) will allow steel if you bring your own.
I live in Mt Airy and have gone multiple times just to shoot their 500 yard steel. I do like the range but have seen some rather unsafe things. My buddy and I were driving back (from some skeet stations) on the range road that runs between a few of their skeet stands and their 3 gun range...
I second DocEd! He has worked on a few of my rifles to include pillar bedding, threading and bolt knobs to name a few. Great guy and he knows his shit!
I wouldn't say the wait times were bad before 41P. I placed my order back in Nov 2015, had my stamp in hand May 2016 and I ordered from Silencer shop. From the time the ATF cashed my check to the time it was in hand was 5 months.
A buddy of mine did his in March of last year, it was...
it was dropping 2" at 100 yards. I did some more reading and found that it's common with a cold barrel to have the first round drop. I can combat this with pushing an oiled patch down the bore first, but F that. I can just run one of my standard loads through it first. I tested again 5...
I did some load testing the other day with my 308 subsonics. It's a 24" 1:12 twist. I'm using 180g Hornady SP interlocks, Trailboss, lapua brass and CCI 200 primers. The flash holes are not drilled out, nor are the bullets lubed.
I'm experiencing a first round drop (2-3" low) with all...
I moved from Hap to AGC back in Dec and haven't looked back. Hap was a nice range, but the limited range times, days of the week and lanes made it a pain. I can go to AGC at any hour (obviously when they're open), any day of the week and shoot. I waited for 2 hours once for a rifle lane at...
I have two Vortex vipers PST (4-16 and 6-24). I love them. I have had to use the warranty on the 4-16. The reticle became canted one day out of the blue. Door to door was 7 days total. Their warranty service is amazing. Buy with confidence!
Mine was approved 4/12 and my stamp didn't show up until 4/23. I feel like the wait between the stamp approval to stamp received was the hardest part, so I feel for yah. Should be soon!
I ran it yesterday on 3 different rifles. It was awesome!! :D . Zero issues switching platforms.
FN SPR 308 with ASR mount
18" AR15 with ASR mount
Ruger Precision 6.5cm with direct thread
It will be a long wait but it will be worth it!
Indeed... already my thought process. I have 300 spent cases of hornady and Winchester brass saved up and stock piled some Reloader 17, 140g bullets, and primers.
It's honestly no different than match ammo for 308 in terms of price/accuracy. I have found with my Ruger 6.5 that it likes Winchester 140 Match and Hornady 140 ELD Match.
Winchester being the cheapest usually around $23 a box + shipping. I actually found 4 boxes of it at Basspro Arundel...
Well, I just called again. It was Approved 12th of April (Check cashed Dec 7th)
I guess Silencershop isn't alerting you about approvals anymore.
Should hopefully have it next week? :party29:
