      7.5X53.5

It's the GP90. The sale is Sunday. I'll let you know Monday. I have a feeling the price may go a bit higher than I'm willing to go, Joe.

      7.5X53.5

Wasn't sure where to put this. I'm looking at an 1890's target rifle, single shot, falling block action, in 7.5X53.5. I've read where the guys with the 7.5 Rubin's can shorten the 7.5X55. If I have a single shot, couldn't I rebore to the 7.5X55? Might be a bear finding a reamer. Just thinking...

      Cleaning Wood.

Just got an FYI from a friend that is a Savage collector also. He went through his "Letters" and found one on a Savage 1899 A in 32-40 that was sold to Malcolm also, in April, 1909. But, his was never outfitted with a scope. Mine is an 1899 H take down, Joe.

      Cleaning Wood.

Thanks guys, it is a pretty cool and somewhat special rifle. It's in 22 Savage HiPower, and it was made in 1912, the first year of production for that caliber. The Malcolm scope is also a point of interest, as to when it was put on and by who. I just got my letter back from the Savage Historian...

      Cleaning Wood.

After 103 years my stocks are a little dirty. I think there is some nice figure underneath. Is there any safe way to clean the wood with out hurting the original finish? Don't want to refinish. I'd just as soon leave it the way it is than take a chance of hurting the finish, Joe.

      Henry Martini rifle

A lot of the Martini Cadets, originally in 310, were converted to 22 Hornet. A friend just bout a nice Cadet in 310, just to do a Hornet conversion. There was a highly engraved, custom wood, Martini 22 Hornet on GB a couple months ago and I was on the verge of selling the farm to get it. They...

      Demolition - The Cracked Claw

I'm still haunted by nightmares of like images. I work for UPS. You hear of all the stories of beautiful women in all stages of undress answering to delivery men. When the door opened a crack I said, "I need a signature for this pkg". Peeking from behind the door a lady said, "Do I have to sign...

      Demolition - The Cracked Claw

Forgot this little pink marble fountain from out in the yard. Got a few other cast plant stands and stuff but didn't take pics. A friend bought a gazebo and a bunch of tables and chairs. We took a couple truck loads of stuff to her farm. She raises peacocks, so she bought all of the brass...

      Demolition - The Cracked Claw

Do these guys look familiar? I went to the auction when they sold and bought some stuff. I really wanted some of the wrought iron railings, but they said they were structural, and couldn't sell them. Went by a couple weeks ago and saw a bunch twisted up in a pile, oh well, Joe.

      Hi

Dang, I should just throw the rifle down over the hill, everybody that sees that picture wants the slab. Kinda like how do you prepare a Carp. Put it on a Pine board, season, cook at 350 for one hour, throw the Carp away and eat the Pine board. Well, anyone who wants one of those Fir slabs, cut...

      Hi

Hey guys, I'm an old time Marylander. My family settled in MD in 1721, it's hard to believe where our great state has gone. I'm about to retire and have been getting into hand loading and high tech target guns. If I manage to hang around a while you'll notice I can be a bit of a wise guy and can...
