Here it is. I will let you know how well it holds up at range. Maybe Sirex can break it in for me.

Your other option is the mod shown to QD mount in pic. Notice how much longer the UTG mount is where it attaches to rail. You really have to lock em up tight because there is no stop in rear of siderail after you dremel it off.

The UTG sidemount that is not QD ( 3 screws to tighten ) will work. The QD version is shorter and would have to be modded, and it still wont hold up to the pounding. For the price you cant beat it. Its the only UTG sidemount I will use. So far everything has held up fine.

      VZ2008 or M77 or ???

They are both awesome guns. You will get alot more power and accuracy out of the M77. They also have side rails. You can add a side rail to the VZ. You can also still buy the Vepr line of rifles. They do cost more but you can shoot surplus 54r cheaper than x39. The Veprs are very well balanced...

      Zastava M77 in .308?

Thank you. I believe it is one of the old school Romy G thumbhloes. Its made out of Commie plywood. Heavy and strong. I took the recoil pad from the factory stock and screwed it on to give length absorb recoil and balance rifle. I coated the stock and handguards with rubberized Leak Seal from...

Csspecs mag side view rear lug blocks From front to rear. Gen 1 no mod necessary, Gen 2 no mod, Gen 2 with mod. Notice the difference in thickness of rear lug mounting blocks. The Gen 1 is much thinner. I removed alot of metal above the lug for fitting on Gen 2.

Csspecs mags rear lugs From left to right Gen 1( no mod necessary) , Gen 2 no mod, Gen 2 with mod. Notice how the rear lugs are mounted between the different Gens. You can see on the Gen 2 with mod where I removed metal to make fit. I dont think removing the metal underneath the lug was necessary.

Csspecs mags front From left to right. Gen 1 with mod, Gen 2 no mod, Gen 2 with mod. Notice how the Gen 1 is squared on the upper front reenforcement corners. The Gen 2 is rounded. On the Gen 1 all I did was dremel the face of front lug and take a little off the top of lug.

Csspecs V308 mag to M77 More pics will come with explanation. Computers were not part of my generation but I am learning slowly. There are Gen 1 and Gen 2 Csspecs V308 mags. The Gen 1 is easier to mod. I only had to dremel front lug.

Excellent rifles for the money. Very well built and function flawlessly so far on the 2 setting. The stock is garbage and has to go. I modded an old Romy G heavy plywood stock. It gives a better cheek weld and adds weight and balance to the rifle. Hopefully there will be more options on the...

I did use the Taiwanese mags. The biggest problem is the bolt drives the follower down inside the mag body. So much for the BHO feature. Lol

I have modded the Vepr Csspecs mags to work in the M77. The nice thing is they still work in the V308 too. Having interchangable mags is a plus.I will be posting pics when I figure out how to do so.
