I wouldn't suggest carrying the p64 safety off. The only time the firing pin is blocked is with the safety on. There's a couple stories of accidental discharge from them being dropped (on the hammer) and one guy that shot himself in the leg when the hammer got caught in his shorts and snapped...
I'm actually looking for a Vz24 with a bad barrel for a project. I dont want to mess up a good one if I don't have to. If you want, PM me with what you'd want for it...you can put it toward a better shooter.

I have both...and like both. Kinda depends on what you want. Both are not great carry options because neither has a firing pin block. I do carry my p64, but with the safety on, as it blocks the hammer. Both are well made(my ttc is polish), and both fit the hand well. For fun and collecting...
