Haha!
As per the gluing of lense retention, I wasn't doubting that with increase of price comes different manufacturing methods. I was just referring to the Strike eagle meeting the needs of range time, steel/paper targets. No doubt a Razor gen II is put together a different way.
I recently picked up a strike eagle too. I don't have a lot of experience with higher-end scopes, but I am very pleased with the strike eagle, for what I will use it for. On the other hand, if I were using it overseas, I might prefer something else. No sense in trying to keep up with the...
I believe it. The Gov't can do some strange things. I had applied for two FEMA positions at one point, received an email months later saying thanks but no thanks. A month after that, received another email saying I was still in the running. Haven't heard back since. Won't stop me from sending...
Just finished reading that other thread......my head hurts. It especially hurt when he called out his "Marine Recon" friend that doesn't know his rifle. I did, however, believe him when he talked about his mental health issue, because that would explain the entire thread on that forum as well as...
I have had nothing but positive experiences with Surefire's scout series, both the 600 and 300 series. I've used them in classes and other training evolutions and they've performed flawlessly. I might have to take advantage of this deal! Good find and congrats on the purchase.
I had put an application in when this was posted to usabjobs. Still haven't heard a thing. A lot of the other positions of similar duties have moved from "anyone" may to apply, to "current federal LE" may apply. It's still a rough go for anyone not already in the system.
Going to agree with Gunny here. I've never seen a bcg, or other rifle part that couldn't be cleaned with clp, ap brush, and a rag. I've also used Remington cleaner, slip 2000, frog lube, etc. Even after hundreds or rounds between cleanings didn't have trouble. I've always believed that keeping...
I would also like to add that I've had nothing but positive experiences there. I visited more frequently while I was in Quantico, now being back in MD about once a month. Well worth the drive!
Welcome aboard! Doing some dry-fire practice will help you with the long trigger pull. Used the Beretta M9 for a while, which also had a long trigger pull. Doing consistent and deliberate repetitions will greatly improve your experience.
I just purchased a strike eagle as well. It comes with that vortex mount for free, although I think it's the one manufactured in China. Who knew mounts could be so expensive?!
This is a cool idea. I have a few doubles of Vince Flynn and Brad Thor, a few others too I believe. If anyone is interested! I'll list them when I get home.
Everyone jacked the prices up last time because they were convinced Hillary was going to win and then ban everything. If prices are still the same or higher, I'd be curious to hear what the excuse is.
Anyone care to post some ammo prices on here if they see them at the show today??
