      I just recently got my HQL and purchased my first gun - a Glock 23 Gen 4. Prior to that, over the past 6 weeks or so, I rented a Glock23 (Gen 3) several times at Gilberts. I was by myself each time - it wasn't an issue.

      When I completed the HQL class I got a "Certificate of Completion - State of Maryland Handgun Qualification License". At the bottom right corner there is a number "QHIL-xxxx-xxxx" That is the number I used to complete the application. (as well as with the livescan number).
