It's hard to do the job right/proper when you don't have all those nice AR tools I can see the upper build be more critical as this is where all the energy is, sure wouldn't like the upper...

      Thanks Cummins, I want the tradishional carry handle with sights, but the LGS didn't have any in stock, a future purchase when in stock.

      Just built my first lower from a Del-ton complete rifle kit, used a BCI lower. Both items bought from LGS. All I can say is those tiny springs and indent/roll pins are a pita to install. Took awhile but got it done, just glad I started out cheap. Tough with 52 year old...

      Laddertowr glad to hear you got your UPIN. Did they/FBI say what was flagging you on not getting approved? This is may first time getting delayed and if it happens again I'll have to work on getting a UPIN.

      JettaRed I entered a gun raffle at the Frederick gun show last month and I won a long gun:D So that's why I made the trip. I even have a TWIC card. I'm guessing the checks are portional to the distance between the FFL's ZIP and Buys ZIP:confused:

      Mr. H my full name only brings up about 5 pages on a Google search and I just received a hand gun purchase first week of Feb. Plus I got my gun collector letter in the mail last week.
