I checked with United on 3/7/13 regarding S & W M/P15 sport and they were not currently selling them because of the heavy barrel/HBAR question. They (as was another shop in HoCo) were awaiting confirmation from S & W that this is their heavy barrel model. I am really attracted to this model... -

Freestate Gun Range Report
My friend and I had a Mini-14 party at Freestate last Sat. morning. Excellent facility and staff. Looking forward to going back. Only problem was on us- Our 2 150 rd value packs of Federal 62gr .556 which we had planned on shooting was steel core which can't be used as their indoor facility...- gstaniii

Maryland magazine cap laws ?
Fortunately, Maryland is a small state geographically so there are very few locations which are more than a 30-40 mile drive from one of our more sane and friendly neighboring states. I'll end up taking a nice leisurely drive to a shop or show in Northern Va, Eastern WVa or Southern Pa rather...- gstaniii
