Just wanted to drop a note about the excellent work Duffy's resident gunsmith, John, does.
I brought in a Turkish Mauser action, Rhineland Arms .45APC kit, and a Hogue Mauser stock and got a sweet bolt action .45 rifle back. At work right now, so don't have a picture of the rifle to post...
Have a chance to pick one of these up for around 450. Stock is cracked along the bottom, other than that the metal looks good. Did not have a chance to check the bore. What are your thoughts, yes/no?
Anyone got an idea what is going on in the area of Rising Sun? Last 30 minutes been about 10-12 different vehicles running sirens headed down the road?
Not sure whether or not I should put this in reloading or C&R, but since it deals with a C&R pistol load, figured I would start here.
So have a mismatched pistol (Chilean frame, Romanian slide), seems little stiff to rack the slide, but then it could just be how the gun is.
Tried 4 loads...

Just so happens they make TT33 9MM Luger barrels roughly $250
And Steyr Hahn barrels in 9MM Luger AND 9MM Steyr (and original length or an extended length as well.) those run $285ish
Hope that helps some of us out getting a barrel for Toks or Steyrs...
Just wanted to say thanks to Vince and the guys there at Duffy's
Extremely happy with the Hydra, and I know I will be pleased with the PPS-43 when everything is done. Thanks again guys!
Does anyone know offhand what the outside diameter of a Steyr Hahn M1911 pistol barrel is?
I can check myself once I get home, but trying to check a barrel lining option with a shop currently. Just kinda hoping someone would know, couldn't find the info online in a quick search.
Springfield M1 Garand, 1942
Steyr-Hahn M1911, 1913
Sorry the picts are not perfectly focused.
Does bring up a question though on the Steyr. Serial number is 1656 which would put it in the commercial run, has a Romanian proof on the other side of the frame but there is a six pointed star...
I am just curious :P when your Form 1 (online) goes from research to submitted and there is a permit number now listed, is that a good thing or doesn't matter?
