Beretta s686
A friend of mine is interested in selling his Beretta s686. I have found a bunch of prices on Gunbroker but don't know what to believe. Any advice?
I like the Glock safety, but it is not idiot proof. We are all idiots at some point.
Pro - It positively will not go off if dropped.
Con - I have a 25 year Law Enforcement college who shot the tip off his offhand index finger while holstering his Glock with his trigger finger in the trigger...
At the Fed level, "lend" is not an applicable term. The Fed only recognizes the word "transfer". Remember, if you lend someone an old AR15 with a worn seer.... your have "transfered an automatic weapon".

BATF trace starts with the manufacture and follows to the FFL and the individual the firearm was trasfered too. BATF has no interest in who paid for the firearm. If you want to buy a friend or relative a gun... the best way is to take them to the FFL and have them recieve it from the FFL...
