ok your right. so it seems that Mdsp can't tell me if its legal or not to build an assault long rifle or not. Its something they are looking into and don't have an estimate time yet. So this leaves the question, whats constitutes a heavy barrel and where can you get them?

I hate to keep this derailing going. But the state police needs to start enforcing the laws on the books, instead of legislating there own opinions and that includes the attorney general. I don't see anywhere in the law banning making an assault long gun. Especially making one from a registered...

      Shadow Ops Weaponry

I bought an m1a, m21 receiver, and since there is no legal configuration of this now cause the m1 garand is a different receiver. Are you telling me that my receiver is just a giant paper weight? Also I have 1 fully built ar15 rifle that I bought before the ban. Ill build a couple of carbine...

Tammy is the WOMEN !!!!! 24 hours ago, I thought I had lost my gun forever, I called the attorney general no luck. Called the atf, no luck. Called jim silvester, mail box was full. Called Tammy, she said she would try her best within her power to help. She said give me a couple of hours. Hour...

I bought what was determined as a firearm by the atf pre ban so configuration shouldn't matter. SBR builds require a stamp because of the GCA. I just wanna be able to put a carbine upper on and not have to go heavy barrel. I have no intent on building an SBR.

      Shadow Ops Weaponry

that doesn't seem right It would make sense that any ar lower purchased before the October 1st deadline is free to do what ever the owner sees fit. It would kinda be like making me convert my fully built sigm400 over to non ban configuration even though I owned it before the law took effect. I...

According to the atf ( licensing division ) the company is getting bought out and is going to open back up. Of course west Virginia division of atf wasn't able to talk to the field officer handling the case. She was only able to talk to the licensing division out there.

well I wouldn't do it if the lower wasn't registered before October 1st 2013. I here the rules on pre ban lowers are different then the ones afterwards. I think the link you posted was for Washington state and shadow ops is in Colorado.

well I was one of the lucky ones that paid for and received all 6 lower recievers from them. They look beautiful, unfortunately though right before the new year I sent one back to have cerakoted a different color with some cool graphics. So not only am I out 250.00 bucks from some other things I...

      STORAGE FOAM

the kaizen foam is what I am looking for but unfortunately, they don't offer it 3 inches thick. Thanks for the suggestion about house of foam, living in Millersville won't be too much of a drive. Ill call and ask to make sure its closed cell first though. Thanks for all the good advise.

      STORAGE FOAM

So I am building this secret drawer in my closet that is going to blend in to the décor and not be seen. My question is does anyone know where I can get a blank sheet of foam. It needs to be 3 inches thick, 60 inches wide and 12 inches deep. This foam also needs to be flexable and strong enough...

      HQL Question

will this work if you previously owned an assault rifle before October 1st. I didn't buy a handgun but instead I bought a few regulated rifles that are now banned, and I bought them before October 1st, and got the non disapproved before October 1st as well.

      HQL question, another...

Does an assault rifle count as " previously owned exemptions". I look on the website and it says it does, but called worth a shot in Millersville and they said it must be a handgun purchase for you to be exempt?
