      Still nothing for me... Mailed 6/12 Sent certified with return receipt. Return receipt signed 6/14 I emailed and received a response that application can't be found. Begin again on 9/4, too late to help for pre 10/1 purchases. I wonder who this person is who signed for the letter...

      Congrats. I had my PPQ at the range for the first time last week. Nice trigger, flawless function. A great modern firearm. I also picked up an extra 15 round mag from Midway.

      Field stripped a Ruger Mark III tonight.

      I was successful in field stripping, cleaning and reassembling my MarkII following the video instructions on Ruger's website. Reassembly is the trickiest part but can be done by copying exactly how it's done in the video. http://ruger.com/products/markIIITarget/extras.html

      That sums it up nicely. These are the correct steps to my understanding. Also, as you know, the handgun itself has to be approved for sale in Maryland by being on the MSP Handgun Roster. It's another layer of government intervention... for our safety of course. :rolleyes:

      I would definitely try to bench rest it first to get the shooter out of the equation as much as possible. Then work on the sight picture making sure you're properly sighted. Evaluate results. Tight grouping, great, gun is precise. Not hitting point of aim, not so great, accuracy is off so either...

      I went to a Hamfest last year at the HC Fairgrounds, it was small compared to similar events in years past. There was also a Home show at the same time so I also went to that. This time I'll most likely go for the gun show and take some time to browse the hamfest.
