      With proper practice, breathing, trigger pull 200-300 yards with iron sights is definitely achievable. Now trying to bang out decent MOA hits with my SGL 21 at 300 yards with irons is another feat altogether!

      VEPR versus standard AK

      Vepr's are great bench guns but if you are looking for a rifle that is actually usable offhand go with a quality standard AK...well unless you've got arms like Arnold Schwarzenegger, then go with the Vepr.

      Glock 19. The grip on the 26 might be a bit less comfortable and recoil slightly harsher in the sub-compact version. Also, I do love me some Glock but I'd also suggest the M&P 9 compact.

      Your best bet is to go Baltimore City, tough it out for a while then lateral to one of the safer counties. Baltimore City is always hiring and the physical standards aren't insane like some other departments. Insane being a relative term.
