I told the nice lady that Cabela's and Midsouth Shooters don't seem to have a problem with shipping to Maryland. She said their lawyers said no until they figure things out. It's the "recent notice" thing that has me confused. The fire regulations are old news.
I tried searching but could not find anything, but has there been any new laws restricting powder sales in Maryland? I am aware of the five pound storage limit fire regulation, but I recently tried to buy powder from Wideners and it was denied.
Calling them, they said they got a notice...
Not sure if anyone uses Accurate Nitro 100 NF powder for pistol (9mm and .45 ACP), but Accurate has a formula listed for both. I've not used it and am good on powder right now, but Widener's has it on sale for $89 for 8 lbs! (Plus hazmat and shipping, of course. But that's far less than Bass...
I already had the RCBS measure and wanted a second powder drop for my Hornady LNL AP press. While, Hornady's LNL set up makes switching calibers easy, that is only after you have set up and tuned all of your dies. Switching calibers on the powder drop takes a little more effort than I was...
I am not arguing with your logic, I'm just saying that if you find an FFL that sees it the same way, let us know.
I just waited the statutory 7 days for a GLOCK 17 Gen3 frame. It was treated as a pistol. I'm not sure how many FFLs are "current" on the topic and none are going to take...
The transfer must still go through an FFL. So, if you can find an FFL that will treat a GLOCK frame as "other" for a possible long gun build, then I guess you don't need the HQL. If you find one, please let us know!
An HQL is required for TRANSFERS, not just purchases. If you are using the regulated component (like a GLOCK frame), then you need the HQL to acquire it.

The frame for a G17, G34, G22, etc is the same--standard size. (Not for G21, though.)
Lucas Tactical has complete standard GLOCK frames through Gun Broker or Guns America even though they are out of stock on their website.
I paid $230 or $240 shipped for a G17 Gen3 frame for a Lone Wolf...
Arguably, reloading does not make a lot of economical sense if you shoot infrequently with the availability and price of ammo (especially 9mm) falling like it has over the last year. Supply has caught up with demand and it appears the panic of 2013 is over. But, it’s not the price of ammo that...
