Follow-up: I emailed SA asking the date of manufacture and they said it was April 2016. According to SA, starting this year they are phasing out the ILS system and that is why this new pistol does not have it.
I bought it this week and yes it was new and from a trusted seller. In fact, the seller is an industry partner of this site who many have done business with in the past.
I bought a new SA Loaded 1911 parkerized and just had a question not related to swapping the Integral Locking System (ILS) out. I noticed that my gun actually didn't come with the ILS. I tried looking online and I found conflicting information that says all SA 1911s now come with this...
With all due respect, I don't remember asking you, but thank you for your judging opinion. If you find it inappropriate for me to ask someone why they don't have a vehicle (who is asking on a public forum for a ride) then I would suggest you get your head examined. Also, if you’d kindly re-read...

I am in the same boat as you. I can provide you some sort of answer (kinda)...
I called USAA (my bank/insurance company) and they stated I had to submit photos and serials of all firearms. In addition, I would have to have the firearms appraised (they didn't specify who could do this, nor what...

Holy cow. I mean, I know I've seen your posts the last few months, but jeeze....talk about making me feel a bit behind in the game. My bound book currently has ONE entry. I was actually joking to myself the other day how many years it will take me to have the need to buy another.
I have to...
