I have a Rem 700 mountain rifle in 280 rem that has an issue I've ignored for a long time. When I shoot from the bench (summer), if I shoot a five shot group at normal pace 10-12s it walks right up towards 2 o'clock. However if I let the barrel cool with the bolt open for 45-60s I can cut...
I have this sealed case of ammo I got back in early 2000s. It's a sealed case and when I looked it up there is conflicting information as to whether it's a copper washed steel case or brass. One site said it was noncorrosive Berdan primed which makes sense as my only 30-06 is an M1.
Does anyone...
I noticed a blackened firing pin indentation in one of 35 loads I fired in a new rifle. Upon examination with magnifier it seems that there is a small dimple in every primer as if the pin was turned on lathe and cutoff was not complete or no polishing/deburring. I took pics but the lack of 3D...
What does this mean?

If as every chart says don't use chart as guide to create loads only used published data, Eg http://www.accuratepowder.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/burn_rates.pdf, and virtually all threads/guides say only use published data, why do the companies publish the charts?
While researching bullets for my 25-06 I saw a few in 6.5 that had BC of better than .6 at a weight of 105gn. Back when you'd get Winchester bulk bullets in 60# quantities(3360ea of 125gn JHP .357) we used to swage some with Corbin sizers to .355 with no issues.
But the Corbin page says .006...
Does anyone have a favorite hand priming tool that lets you load a 100 primers at a time into a tray feeder? I think loading from strips or tubes is too much. I have a Dillon 550B but mainly use it to feed my 9mm. Or .357sig.
I recently got an RCBS 90200 hand priming tool and have used it to...
Half way there, got my custom dies from Hornady today. Now waiting for PTG reamer and headspace gauges.
Might need to join AGC again as the drive to Greenridge St. Pk. is not something I want to do 3-4 times a week.
My new favorite browser, Brave, is implementing a system to provide support for designated sites using a wallet and un-attributable microtransactions. Beside subscribing, which I did today after researching this topic in forums. Is there a way to send contributions to the site?
I recently was sorting some items and found a No-Go gauge from a rifle I had re-chambered back in 2002. Would a gunsmith ream a chamber just using a no-go gauge or was he just sending it along for maintenance. I have no idea whether the reamer he used was a rental but PTG said no-go was Midway...
I recently got a new bbl for an AR platform build and after the first shot at range I noticed a frosted appearance of the body as well as pronounced bulging above the web of the case. I've attached a pic of fired case as well as a factory load.
I fired two boxes and two things were obvious...
$.01 Hazmat and free shipping for orders over $150 at Brownells and it applies to backordered items.
Midway had sale for orders over $100 but did not include backordered items.
I need to find a machinist that can install drill guides into my Jig plates. I have dimensional drawings. Would consider sending them out but would rather deliver and pickup in person.
I recently was looking at ammo pricing and noticed Palmetto State Armory will not ship ammo to city of Annapolis or Montgomery County. I had this happen many years ago(>10 was ordering ,375 H&H for trip to SA 2003) once with Cabelas but have had many shipments since inquiring about that with...
