      honestly? i think the Beretta's worth the extra money. but i own one and thus am biased. 9mm AR, same thing. i always found them to handle and perform better and i suppose they have more resale value (although i don't sell my guns, so i don't think i can use that for support). but again...

      i guess the argument is, if you want something with $$$ sunk into it... why not spend more on the base gun? since presumably you're now about maximizing your gun's functionality. nothing wrong with a cheap gun that Just Works but i think i have spent an additional $0 on anything i own that...

      i actually shot my VP9 right out of the box without cleaning and lubing it and had zero issues. wasn't a tactical model and didn't use the same ammunition, so it wasn't the same scenario, in fairness.

      part of why they didn't insist on registration in 2013 was them essentially admitting that was already being done through the way regulated firearms were sold. so by itself i don't know how much of an objection the HQL should ADD on that front.
