      I took my first carry permit course there about 30 years ago. I remember the instructor calling a cease fire on the range as some deer crossed, unbothered by all the shooting. It was still rural there then.

      I have mine on legs, up about 6 ft to the bottom so the deer can't reach it. A good coating of vasaline on the poles keeps the raccoons off. I may try the chain and winch in another spot. It would certainly be easier to fill.

      If you build your own feeder, these can't be beat. I have several on 55 gallon barrels. Only uses 4 - AA batteries, and amazingly they will last all season. I've had many different 6 volt feeders and always had to replace the batteries a couple times a season...

      Does the curved kydex hook on the Alabama reduce printing? I have been carrying my LCP Max in the soft holster that came with it and an old uncle mikes I had for another gun. Both work ok but the gun prints pretty prominently if my pants are the least bit tight or thinner material.

      Check it and fly with it. It is easier than most think. I have done it many times with zero issues. I can lend you a locking case if you need one.
