I don't have a pic of them, but I get plastic chargers (large plate) that is the slightly flexible kind. Can't be the brittle plastic or it will shatter as it gets blown around by the wind.
I drill a small hole in the center, then epoxy the chain in the hole and then hang the bird feeder...
While I totally agree with others on being willing to share your toys, there is a certain degree of courtesy and respect.
I would never just walk up to anyone and and say, "Hey, is okay to try out your <fill-in-the-blank>?"
I would express interest in whatever and maybe even say that I had never...
The crazy thing about a poll like this one, is that it is overwhelmingly in favor of no more gun control...... but the politicians won't give a crap what the polls say, what their constituents want and will then do their best to push through their gun control agenda.
They forgot or don't care...

One of the stories my dad shared with me was when he was a 'computer' on an M12 155mm self propelled gun in WW2. During training they had an exercise to display for visiting dignitaries.
The drill was for the spotter to give all of the pertinent details for aiming the gun, distance, windage...

I think it's a combination of not wanting to deal with an overzealous police officer taking a legal firearm away.
Along with being a law abiding citizen by following the law, when we don't know what the law is really saying because it's so ambiguous and poorly written.
Just my 2 cents....
