      new shooter, first gun? good places to shoot?

      All the recent media attention around the current SCOTUS case regarding DC's draconian gun laws has gotten me thinking about finally exercising my right to own a firearm. I shot a little when I was in scouts, mostly .22 rifles, and enjoyed it back then. I rented a Ruger, a MkII 22/45 I think...
