      Long Range Bolt Gun Purchase

      Son wants a longer range capable bolt gun. He likes the Rem 700, but wants to consider others. Besides Cabela's, etc., can you recommend a store where we can checkout the choices?

      min/max oal

      I'm reloading 30-30 using lee data and 150 grain bullets and win760 powder. The max oal is the same as the min oal. I'm not sure how to handle this.

      firing colt 1851 navy for first time

      Fired our colt 1851 navy for the first time today. We used hornaday 36 Cal balls. We loaded powder, then patch, then bore butter around edge of each chamber, then ball.       30-06 primer tight fit

      I'm new to reloading. :) I have 30-06 cases with head stamps of LC 72. The large rifle primer was very hard to seat; you can see where the primer cup deformed the primer a little. I seated the same primers (Winchester) in an 8mm Mauser case with no problem. Is there perhaps something...
