Steel fabrication and off-roading mod shop?

Appreciate the leads, gentlemen. I found Trick Trucks on my own before making this post. Spoke to the Kensington location, just around the corner from me - I could drop off the truck and walk home haha. Nice guy, but they just install factory parts. No cutting, welding, or anything else...

Steel fabrication and off-roading mod shop?

I'm strongly considering picking up a proper body-on-frame SUV/truck (probably a 4Runner) in the near future and will want to have some mods done to it. Are there any offroad shops in the greater Maryland area? Ideally within 1-2 hours of Rockville. I'm looking to have things like sliders...

      Handgun registration???

Don't take a gun to the MSP barracks. Just do it online.

Del. Dan Cox warns of proposed changes to emergency powers

Who were the sponsors of this horrible bill? I want to write them a polite letter expressing my utter disappointment in their leadership and inquire about their contempt for the most fundamental ideals upon which our Nation was founded.

Sanity Check please - Traveling with a handgun thru BWI

Lots of people here are misunderstanding your question. I'm not 100% sure whether the above exception applies to civilian contractors. Your buddy won't have any issues claiming his luggage at BWI, nor will he have any issues checking it back in the next day. The only risk is a LEO...

AGC 3 Gun Match - Sunday, September 22

Great match today! Thanks to the whole Action Shooting team and all the RO's who worked very hard in the 94 degree heat to kick off what I'm sure will be a fantastic practical shooting program at AGC.

      Leuplod is a Disappointment

I've lost count of the number of Leupold optics I have in my safe. From low end to high end (multiple MK5 and MK6 scopes). I have been thrilled with their performance, taking me to multiple match wins all over the country in a variety of shooting disciplines. Two months ago, I had one of my MK6...

AGC 3 Gun Match - Sunday, September 22

Another person here who votes with his dollars. I am a dedicated competitive shooter and travel around the country (and internationally) to shoot. I have not bothered with an AGC badge for the 5+ years I've lived in the area because there really was no value to me. The practice I need to do has...

Breaking! Federal Court Finds California Magazine Ban Violates the Second Amendment

Anyone here read the ruling? It is absolutely devastating. It is the single strongest pro-gun rights argument I have ever, ever seen in a judicial opinion. Full opinion: https://d3uwh8jpzww49g.cloudfront.net/sharedmedia/1510684/2064261_2019-03-29-order-granting-plaintiffs_-msj.pdf

How much training do you ACTUALLY need?

Some difficult truths to swallow: -95% of gun owners "train" less than 10 hours per year. Same goes for most cops. And I'm loathe to even consider a typical range trip even "training" - without a measurable goal, and a concerted effort to attain that goal, it's just shooting AKA turning money...

For a second, I forgot how much MD sucks

The .45 mag body is too wide to fit inside a 9mm magwell, period. There is no way it can be converted to run in a 9 or .40 gun.

First time shooting a new CZ-75- Question

The malfunctions are likely due to cheap ammo. What ammo were you shooting? The dislodging of the top round in your mag is a partialfeed. This is a fairly common issue with new CZs. When chambering a round, the underside of the slide behind the breech face can drag on the next round at the top...

Looking to borrow 80% Lower Jig

There is absolutely no legal issue with renting an 80% lower jig. It's a hunk of aluminum and steel. All the work to actually mill out the lower must be done manually. Come on, people. Stop making life easier for gun grabbers.

Any high level overview of MD firearm law?

Thanks again for everyone posting up suggestions. The link to Scott's Gunsmithing is exactly what I was hoping for. Cheers!

      collectors license

Just to clarify one more time in case someone reading this doesn;t understand. The Designated Collector letter does not give carte blanche allowance to transport regulated firearms. The status we can apply for is a "Designated Collector" but the statute quoted above explicitly says "bona fide...

Any high level overview of MD firearm law?

The website is fairly useless and the info presented is hard to parse. I'm hoping someone has something more simple they can share.

Any high level overview of MD firearm law?

Does anyone have a resource (website/powerpoint/pdf/etc) that addresses MD firearm law? I have 2 friends moving to our wonderful State and have asked me for advice, what they can/can't do, etc. I have most of it in my head, but I don't have anything I can actually give them to use as a...
