Used to fish just outside the boundary of Yellowstone, on the north side. 12 gauge, unfortunately. Unless it’s a perfect shot, anything else will just piss off a grizzly.

I would be interested. I am about to build one, and still engineering the over center deal. Did you use a positive stop, to keep the paddles from bouncing back?
I have a few "fancy" knives, but the one I carry every day is a cheap Old Timer, I got from my great grandfather. Sharpened so many times, there's a hook in the blade.
