I haven't been on here in ages, but oddly enough I just bought 2 of those guns.

The idea is to use them as slug guns for my kids. There's a bit of controversy about them. Sears recalled the 12 ga version a few years...
I'm a member at the one in Poolesville, and the facilities are more expansive than anywhere else in MD, with the exception of the rifle and pistol range. Neither is as large as some of the others. But to make up for it they have:
- Trap AND skeet/sporting clays ranges
- Target archery
-...
I did the same thing the second time I shot a revolver. My Dad let me shoot his H&R 9 shot revolver. The first cylinder went fine. I reloaded, took my stance, gripped the revolver, pulled the trigger, and "Aaaaaouch!". My dad said "That's not the way I showed you to hold it" I argue for a...
I just bought some ammo off a guy and he mentioned this. He said it's basically a clone of the HK 416, so close he's be surprised if there isn't a patent problem.
I just won some ammo in a GB auction, and the seller came back with "Sorry, Montgomery County, no ship." I told him about the situation and sent him the link, and guess what - "Looks good - will ship tomorrow".
Seller's name is klean. Patronize him - maybe it will clue in some others.

No - dealers must do background checks. If you're business is not making money from guns - i.e. FFL01, you are not a dealer. The whole "unlicensed dealer" thing is an oxymoron - no such thing exists. Someone decided to create this nefarious entity as a straw man - the real goal is regulating...
Anybody going that could pick up some ammo for me?
I have a guy willing to sell me some rare 7.62x25, but I can't make it up there. It would be pre-paid - just find the guy and pick it up. I'm good for a beer or 2 on delivery :)
Novus, you might want to think about this.
Hence my resistance to becoming a "certified" collector. It's bad enough that they know what I bought, but having a list of people who are ESPECIALLY likely to have a bunch of guns outweighs being able to purchase more than 1 gun/month.
Of course, I have an FFL03, but I'm far more afraid of...
Someone recently asked about inexpensive uppers, so I thought I would pass this along. It's a link to a discussion on the CMP boards about a Gunbroker auction of LRB receivers. It includes the link to the auction.
I thought I'd post the link to the discussion rather than the auction itself...
My spell checker didn't catch it, so it is therefor correct.:D
(Seriously, I actually heard 2 girls in school use that when they were marked down for spelling on a lab report. They refused to believe that WordPerfect might actually be incorrect)
I have no problem with getting salaries to be competitive with surrounding school districts. Nor will I argue that teachers are generally paid too much. But your argument was that "raises aren't keeping up with inflation". But, since the inflation rate over the past decade has been 2-3%, your...
That's been a longstanding problem in crime "statistics" and their reporting - "Children and Teenagers" include 17-19. If you take those ages out of gun and crime statistics, it turns out gun deaths among children are a pittance.
