Both FedEX and UPS, per their websites, require the shipper to have an FFL. When I had an 03 (they didn't know the difference) that was ok but my 03 has long expired.
I may have to query local FFL's to see what they would charge me to enter into their book and ship for me to the buyers FFL. Any...
Hello everyone,
Just recently moved to Milford. I am in the process of clearing out a few duplicates and such and have had a need to ship a few weapons. I have sold two 03 compliant firearms via a Shipping Store in Milford. They are charging me over $120 for a pistol and $160 for a rifle. They...
Hello everyone,
I just sold my house in MD and looking to buy a place in DE. Sussex is where I am looking. So two quick questions...
First I have a Ford F350 Super Duty with a 6.7 Diesel. I have been contemplating stripping the emissions crap from the turbo back. I did not do it here in MD...
I have a good bit of 30-06 ammo I have questions about. I bought this stuff moons ago and bought some for specific rifles but don't remember which is for what. I don't think I would have bought all of this for my Garands. I am sure folks here are very familiar with the ammo and can point me in...
How does everyone feel about counter bored barrels? I know to be fully collectable many collectors don't want it cb'd. But for accuracy, it was done during refurbishment. Thoughts?
I am in the process of liquidating some 91/30's, SKS's, etc. and need some input. Having bought these years ago I can't find the docs I had that helped me ID (special stuff) that would help access value.
I know it's a Tula, MO Dated 34/52. Imp marked. With cleaning rod. It has the screws in the...
I have a 991A (just got 10 days ago), FT-897D (my first HF rig), FT-857D, FTDX1200, FTM-100D, FT-891, Kenwood TM-D710A & G models, and a slew of HT's. The 991A is a nice rig but like the others you need to get used to the menus. The screen is a decent size so I can make adjustments without...
The NEM has superb classes. For those that may not know, the guy that runs the classes, Rol Anders, K3RA, is the FCC Amateur Question Pool Committee Chairperson. So, basically, he has the insight on every question. Wording, meaning, etc. I took a total of five classes up there, from Tech to...
clearly most traffic is on 2m. But I would seriously consider a dual band (2m/70cm) as they are not much more in price and gives you more flexibility adding additional repeaters.
 This is a superb thing to do. Start your career at 18 and get to retire that much faster. We had a good number of cadets back in the day and they all turned out to be great officers. For the agency, a great way to evaluate. For the cadet, they have time to decide if there is where they...
Yeah, I retired in 16 after 30. And I know what you mean. I am happy to be retired. Funny how things work though, same agency hired me back as a civilian to do backgrounds. So I am still slightly involved in seeing how things are going performing backgrounds though candidates, academy's, etc...
I do police backgrounds and things are very tough for police candidates everywhere. The county police recently ran an academy with less than 12 people. Very sad. Many agencies are stopping the poly and other things in an attempt to find candidates.
MSP was running ads in movie theaters.
I have an EndFed EFHW 10-80 and often run it as an inverted V, topper and just strung up inside tree limbs about 12-15' off the ground. They are very forgiving antennas. I use that and a quad band linked (sometimes called serial) dipole now (20, 30, 40, 80m) for my EmComm gear with most setup...
