      %$@# Wedge Pin

The screw by the fat part of the wedge is supposed to stay in and keep the wedge from falling out, this wasn't the problem with mine just a tight fit.

      %$@# Wedge Pin

I have two 1851's both are Piettas and had the same problem with both but one was a real bear. This is a really big problem with conversion cylinders since you have to bang out the wedge to reload every time. Happen to have a watch repair and adjustment kit with a small brass hammer or you can...

      Considering making rifle bullets.

Here is a guy using a Corbin "S" press going through the various stages of swaging. http://www.youtube.com/user/algunjunkie#p/u/0/zN77BIjUwQs

      Electronic scales

I have one of the cheaper electronic scales, it does ok but you have to set it on a surface near your bench that doesn't move or vibrate. Setting it on your bench and running your press screws with them, you have to have no movement and good level surface.

      Wow

Looks like you got enough to get started, take some time and read your reloading manual and check out your powder manufactures web sites for more information about the loads you want to start with. Also check out Lee's web page they have help videos and Youtube has videos also.

      Free Labor!

The Lee turret press is IMHO is the best deal in reloading, I have both the original and newer classic cast turret press and cannot find fault with either. I would recomend Lee 4 hole turret press without hesitation, I also run a Lee Loadmaster set up mostly for .38 SPL, it runs flawlessly with...

      Powder question

I work all over the state and used to get powder from Atlantic guns in Rockville and Silver Spring (2 locations) but went by the other day and said they were no longer carrying reloading supplies at all. The reason given was that they were not getting the business from reloading because of cheap...

      Any Tarrus 62s around

Last I heard that Tarrus is no longer getting the model 62s in pump, lever or the semi-auto made for them. So does this mean Henry is the only choice for a some what affordable lever action or pump?

      Slugs for home defence

I keep #8 target loads in my 870, will not penetrate through walls and at close quarters is devestating.

      The Krag

The Krag went with the U.S. Army and Roosevelt's Rough Riders as a smokeless cartridge rifle, although the the caliber designation often mistakenly made many think it was blackpowder. The side magazine instead of the stripper clip the Mauser had showed the failings with the Krag. Do think your...

      C&R perks and tips

Thanks,I guess I'll start my paperwork.

      reloading costs

If you go into reloading strictly as cost savings versus buying ammo, you'll be disappointed, not by what you save but rather looking at reloading as a hobby unto itself and the time devoted to it. I wouldn't go out and spend $300.00 or more now to get into reloading until you have gotten your...

      C&R perks and tips

Has anyone gotten a C&R from Baltimore city's CLEO approved? I dont think the ATF would be the problem.

      Shotgun component pricing?

The real dilema is that you can buy 71/2 or 8 shot shells for darn near what you could reload them for, I buy my wads and if nobody will give me Win AA hulls I buy them from Midway or Cabelas, the primers, shot and powder (Clays) I typically buy from Clydes on Hammonds Ferry road in Landsdowne.

      What Press?

Well, I'm a Lee man but originally started with RCBS when I was 18. RCBS is excellent equipment but Lee's newest presses are far more innovative, if I were starting out new again and know what I know now and was planning on loading mostly or 50/50 pistol and then rifle calibers I would start out...

Any single or double action revolver fans here

I've got a pair of Ruger Vaqueros .357 sequential serial numbers, H&R 622, Rexio .22 that was given to me (horrible), a brand new heritage 3.5" birds grip .22 w/conv.cylinder and Makarov 9x18.

      Handloading for the AR-15

You could use the Lee auto disks with the rifle charge die but I just use a funnel when loading rifle rounds. The charge die is basically a hollow tube that allows for the use the auto disk system. The charge die is a seperate order item from the desired rifle sets...

      Red Koolaid taste best.

Definetly, I had the same problem with clays and trail boss with the adustable charge bar. I don't know if it's because the shape is sort of oblong instead of round? Stick with the disks, I haven't had a problem since.

      Gun Shops

If wating for a gun show to pop up is to long and don't mind driving a couple or so hours try Green top down in Virginia, you can only buy long guns there being out of state but they do have good prices. They're located on RT.1 just north of Kings Dominion.
