I've got ~10 newbies interested in firearms orientation

I started up a Hunting group for folks in the area that have no gun or hunting experience. We seem to introduce youth pretty well but if you're an adult and you want to get into it there aren't too many easy options. At the first meeting this week I got 10 folks -- all are interested in...

SS plug screws for Savage Mk II?

Where would I find something like that? I took the sights off to free up some room for the Mueller scope sunshade (man that thing is long) but I want the holes to be plugged up and look tidy. And, removable, in case I change my mind and want to put the sights back on... Thanks fellas.

      Picatinny & Weaver question

Question: if I'm mounting a Mueller APV scope to my Savage Mk II with a picatinny rail mount, can I use Weaver-type scope rings? Also, I'm assuming I can use low height rings? Actually it's a 40mm objective, so I may have to go with medium... << Note: I pushed this up to a new post from...

      Just bought myself a present

Never owned a rimfire of any stripe, thought it was time to change all that. Bought a Savage Mark II FSS .22LR from BudsGunShop.com. Any recommendations on ammo or scope for this little guy? I'm really really excited. Now I just have to get it through all the BS gun registration...

Any experience w/ Henry Acu-Bolt .22LR single shot?

http://henryrepeating.com/rifle-acubolt.cfm I like the SS barrel, synthentic stock, weight, cantilevered scope mount, pricetag... it'll be the first rimfire I've owned. Looking to hunt tree rats, plink, show my wife how to shoot on, etc.

      Howdy from Silver Spring

New to shooting sports / hunting. Question: where can I pattern a new shotgun? The PG shooting center won't allow me to use hunting loads, and I can't find anywhere else to go... Thanks!
