Guys,
Was surfing youtube and came across a couple vids about a Turkish manufacturer called Tisas that makes licensed copies of quite a few popular firearms at a pretty reasonable price.
What is the scoop in these?

OK hunters:
I am going to be 70 in Sept.
My hips are shot, and I am not anywhere close to being a young man capable of what it takes to be an independent deer hunter.
Dragging is out of the question.
Barring the remote possibility that I may find a club or group that wouldn't mind...
Had some experience for the first time with a Frank Beltrame switchblade.
9 inch stiletto.
While the craftsmanship is undeniable and the lock up as tight as any of the best folders I've encountered, the blade was as dull as a butter knife and the point about as pointy as a sharpened...
Not really a knife guy so to speak;
But I bought a Kershaw Link from Amazon at a very reasonable price and I am totally satisfied.
Excellent edge and slick enough opening as I could ask for.
That is all.

I have often read that the 1911 was designed to carried cocked and locked.
But since it was originally a military side arm, wouldn't it be accurate to assume it was originally designed as a sidearm secondary to a long arm (in a combat scenario) to be carried with a fully loaded mag and an...
Quick question which I cannot seem to find a quick answer.
Are assisted opening knives (i.e., Kershaw Link) legal in the District of Columbia?

I have an old sheath knife from about the early 1960s.
It is of low quality and the name on the blade is Schrade Walden.
Anyone know anything about this knife?

Based on Youtube videos, I just ordered a Kershaw Oso Sweet.
I figured it was only $27.00 with shipping, so if it is found to be a loss, it is no big deal.
Anyone here have one or an opinion on them?

I have been watching many reviews of switchblade knives and assisted opening knives.
I can not see how a switchblade is in any way superior to an assisted opener (i.e. Kershaw)
Does anyone?

I have been seeing what is being advertised as an "automatic knife" made by Boker.
It comes in several models and is relatively inexpensive.
I am not a knife enthusiast so I ask is the Boker junk?
Is the knife a switchblade? I thought they were illegal.
I saw them on the internet...
I have noticed that various game meats are available online but at an exorbitant price.
I have always wanted to taste elk, but cannot afford a hunt out west.
Nor do I wish to pay the online asking price.
I have 2 questions:
1. The price to harvest a cow elk at a preserve in PA start...
Just wondering . . .
I wonder if the animals taken off of hunting preserves (deer, elk, bison etc.) tastes any different than the game taken from wild fair chase hunts.
Have you ever wondered about that?
I have never eaten wild turkey, but have been told by people who have that it tastes...
Around 4:30 this afternoon (10-27) there was a helicopter hovering over Belle Grove Rd, near Belle Grove Elementary School and traffic was apparently being detoured off Ritchie Hwy onto Belle Grove Rd. Thick chocked traffic all over Belle Grove and Morgan roads.
Anyone know what happened to...
Tonight (10-17) about 6:15 p.m. on the BW Pky, southbound just before the Good Luck Rd. overpass, there were about 3 or 4 deer grazing on the shoulder behind a stone wall. (I was driving about 60 mph so it was pretty quick). One of them was nearly completely white, with only a little brown...
